Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has dropped additional details about its Baja Boot while publishing the first images of the four-door variant.
The Baja Boot from SCG takes inspiration from Steve McQueen’s Hurt Baja Boot race buggy and two examples will compete in this year’s Baja 1000. The niche automaker will then put the vehicle into limited production in a number of guises.
According to the company, all examples of the 2019 two-door Baja Boot have been sold out but it remains to be seen how many will be built. Those looking for 2020 two-door and four-door variants better act fast because Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus had just 17 build slots to fill as of last week.
This is the ultimate off-road toy.
Powering all Baja Boot models will be the supercharged LT4 6.2-liter V8 from Chevrolet with 650 hp. Prices will start at $287,500 and those wanting the ultimate Baja Boot can hand over an additional $166,750 to get one with Level 6 armor.
Unsurprisingly, the four-door variant look virtually identical to the two-door, sans for the addition of rear doors and seats, of course. The supercharged V8 for both models will be located just above the rear axle and one of the off-roaders most eye-catching features will be a huge roof scoop that feeds the powertrain with cool air. The Baja Boot also comes adorned with no less than ten forward-facing lights to ensure drivers can always see what’s ahead of them.
It’s not yet known if the Baja Boot will be street-legal.
