Boost Your Adventurous Lifestyle With Yakima Accessories For 2020 Ford Explorer

The 2020 Ford Explorer can now be equipped with a wide range of sports accessories from Yakima, which increase its versatility.

Ford has announced it is offering owners convenient in-dealership access to Yakima racks for bikes, kayaks, canoes, skis, paddleboards and more. Even better, Explorer buyers can roll the cost of Yakima products into monthly finance payment.

Alongside the Explorer, the all-new Ranger pickup is also available with Yakima accessories in Ford showrooms, and F-150 and Super Duty pickups will follow. The accessories for the 2020 Explorer will be available when the all-new SUV goes on sale this summer.

The catalog includes racks to haul bicycles (up to four at a time), kayaks, canoes, skis, snowboards and more. Yakima offers stand-alone accessories such as a single-key system that allows one key to unlock various pieces of equipment, heavy-duty hook straps to secure gear easily, as well as holders to haul handled-gear such as canoe paddles.

Besides the sports accessories, 2020 Explorer owners can opt for cargo carriers including a 16 cu-ft (453 liters) cargo box with dual-side openings, as well as small, medium and large roof-mounted baskets. The list also includes a 6.5 by 6.5-foot (1.98 by 1.98-meter) awning that provides 42 square feet (3.9 square meters) of cover.

“Explorer drivers are doers, they’re adventure-seekers. The availability of Yakima accessories in our Ford showrooms is one more way we can help people own the Explorer that best fits their adventure,” said Ford SUV brand manager Craig Patterson.
