Proteas doing South Africa proud

07 February 2019, 11:53

The South African cricket team is more than ready for the World Cup in England and Wales.

I like the way they played in the preparation against Pakistan starting off with the first test where the team managed to win the series by a whitewash. The One Day International was not a walk in the park as they went into the final match being neck and neck, with Pakistan wining the pink day, which the Proteas has not lost to any team in the past years.

But what stood out for me was the team winning against the world number one in T20, the final day seemed to be stopping because of the rain but when the rain stopped I just got happy.

I must say towards the last overs I was a bit worried that they might lose the match. Andile taking two wickets in the last over was so fanatsic and outstanding. The change in teams in all formats is great. Surely, we are ready for the World Cup.
