Expect rain the whole day today
TNN | Feb 7, 2019, 07:28 ISTLudhiana: As it drizzled in the city on Wednesday, it brought the cold weather back during the day in Ludhiana. The Met department, meanwhile, predicts rainfall to continue until Friday morning.
As it drizzled and cloudy weather prevailed in the city on Wednesday, it brought down the maximum temperature which was recorded at 22.4 degrees, which is (one degree above normal). But the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.9 degrees (two degrees above normal). The relative humidity in city on the day was recorded at 90% (10% above normal).
As residents had to grapple with the cold conditions because of the drizzle, the bad news for them is that the Met department predicts turbulence in the weather to continue. “There are chances of moderate intensity rainfall on Wednesday evening and Thursday. Rainfall might stop after Friday morning. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by winds of 30-35km per hour. During the days of weather disturbance, the day temperatures are expected to fall, whereas night temperatures might rise,” said Chandigarh Met department director Surender Paul. “Fog might prevail in the city in the morning hours after Friday.” He added that around February 15 and 16, again moderate intensity rainfall is likely.
