Rain, hailstorm hit Delhi-NCR, traffic affected

NEW DELHI: After light rains early in the day, Delhi and the national capital region witnessed another spell of rain and hailstorm on Thursday evening.
Rain and heavy hailstorm in many parts of Delhi, Noida and Faridabad also affected the traffic movement.
This came after Delhi recorded a significantly warm day on Wednesday with the maximum temperature recording 25.1 degrees Celsius – two notches above normal for this time of the season, while the minimum was 12 — three notches above normal.
The met office had predicted moderate showers for Thursday, accompanied with isolated hailstorm activity and strong surface winds ranging from 25 to 35 km/hr.
Traffic movement was slowed down on New Rohtak Road due to water-logging at Anand Parbat, Delhi traffic police alerted.
