Fire breaks out at Nath sect camp, 2 cottages gutted

Allahabad: Panic gripped sector 15 and adjoining areas of Kumbh on Tuesday after fire broke out at two cottages located on the campus of Nath sect. Though no casualty was reported, both the tents and furniture including sofa, beds and other articles were gutted. SSP (Kumbh) K P Singh said, “A fire broke out in two tents of Nath sect due to electrical short-circuit. No injury or casualty was reported.” Following the incident, the Mela police launched an awareness campaign on the vast Kumbh campu. Two special teams were pressed into action to conduct door-to-door awareness campaign in the tent city, added Mela police. tnn
