Music's biggest night is almost here, as the 61st Annual Grammy Awards air live Sunday on CBS. Fifteen-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys will host the event, and she's the first woman in over a decade to do so. Keys has promised to craft a show that champions an "amazing energy" and celebration.
With dozens of statues to hand out and gobs of performers slated to take the stage, there's a lot happening with this year's Grammys. So here's a rundown of everything you need to know about the show before Sunday.
How to watch: The 61st Annual Grammys will air live on CBS on Sunday, Feb. 10, starting at 8/7c from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Grammy.com will also host a premiere ceremony ahead of the show, starting at 3:30/2:30c and featuring host Shaggy along with presenters Lzzy Hale and Questlove handing out the first prizes of the day. The site will also host a live stream of red carpet arrivals starting at 5/4c. E!'s red carpet pre-show will begin at 6/5c.
The performances: The Grammys will feature a bevy of musical performances, including an opening number featuring Camila Cabello alongside Ricky Martin, Arturo Sandoval, Young Thug and J Balvin. Sunday's Grammys will also host the long-awaited return of Dolly Parton, who will take the stage to perform her music from the soundtrack from Dumplin'. Parton is also being honored with performances of her classic hits, with help from Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry.
Meanwhile, Andra Day, Yolanda Adams and Fantasia will join forces for an Aretha Franklin tribute performance, and Diana Ross will celebrate herself with a special 75th birthday performance. Also teaming up for performances throughout the night are St. Vincent and Dua Lipa as well as Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga. Other performers scheduled for the evening are Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chloe x Halle, Travis Scott and Miley Cyrus.
What to expect: One person who won't be in attendance of the show is Ariana Grande, who reportedly had a dispute with show producers over what she should perform. Taylor Swift, who is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, is also expected to skip the show. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is rumored to be making a musical tribute to Motown during the ceremony, to celebrate the label's 60th anniversary. K-pop fans will also be delighted to learn that BTS will be presenting an award during the show as well.
The nominees: Vying for Record of the Year this year are Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin for "I Like It," Brandi Carlile for "The Joke," Childish Gambino for "This is America," Drake for "God's Plan," Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper for "Shallow," Kendrick Lamar & SZA for "All the Stars," Post Malone for "Rock Star" and Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey for "The Middle."
Cardi B., Brandi Carlile, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone will also compete for Album of the Year, alongside H.E.R., Kacey Musgraves and Janelle Monáe. H.E.R. is also up for Best New Artist against Chloe x Halle, Luke Combs, Greta Van Fleet, Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Bebe Rexha and Jorja Smith.
