The 19th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz, one of the longest and largest live quizzes for schoolchildren, will be conducted at HiLITE Mall in Kozhikode from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on February 9.
The event, powered by Eveready Industries India Ltd, is open to students in the senior category (Classes 7 to 9).
Two-member teams
Each team should consist of two members. Any number of teams from a school can take part in the competition by registering online and paying a non-refundable registration fee of ₹200 per team. Team members should be from the same school and no cross teams are allowed.Six teams will be selected based on a written preliminary round. But a maximum of only two teams from a school will be permitted for the final.
The mega quiz, one of the largest in the country, is being conducted in cities across India, namely Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, Madurai, Bengaluru, Vizag and Vijayawada.
Spot registration can be done on the day of the event at the venue. It will start by 11.30 a.m. Students should bring their school identity cards or a letter from the school principal mentioning their classes. Certificates will be given to all participants. There are prizes for audience too for instant answers.
