Goa Food and Cultural Festival begins

The five-day Goa Food and Cultural Festival was inaugurated at DB Bandodkar Ground Campal, Panaji.

Speaking at the function Minister for tourism and sports and chief guest of the inaugural function, Manohar Ajgaonkar vouched to increase the revenue of the state with the help of the tourism sector through such events.

“This event focuses on bringing unique varieties of Goan cuisine and culture to the audience which will help promote Goa as a tourist destination,” he said while speaking about the event.

Also present at the event were secretary of tourism, Daulat Hawaldar IAS; CCP mayor, Vithal Chopdekar and others.

The five-day festival will have live performances, cooking competitions and dance performances by various groups. Live acts will feature a mix of local talent as well as some popular national names like Antariksh, Thaikkudam Bridge, Bad Blood, Pineapple Express and Lagori.
