Ahmedabad: Fake call centre busted, 8 arrested

(Representative image)AHMEDABAD: Cyber cell of Ahmedabad city police busted another call centre from the eastern part of the city early on Wednesday morning. According to cops, eight accused were arrested for interrogation.
DCP, Cyber cell Rajdeepsinh Jhala said that after a long time cheating of US citizen in the name Intelligence Revenue Services of US has once again emerged in the city.
It is worthy to mention that US authorities had submitted a chargesheet against one Sagar alias Saggy of Ahmedabad as the kingpin of such call centres which cheat US citizens. Police had cracked down on such con call centres and arrested more than 200 accused from over 30 con call centres.
"The con call centre busted on Wednesday early morning have a link with such call centres busted earlier as many accused arrested earlier are out on bail and could have returned to the same business," Cyber cell officials said.
