The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) police seized 576 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor smuggled from Puducherry in a car at Marakkanam near here on Monday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team was conducting vehicle checks at Chetti Nagar in Marakkanam, when they intercepted a vehicle and seized the contraband.
The car driver Prakash, 30, of Perumukkal, was arrested.
A case has been registered.
