Indore: A youth attempted suicide by allegedly consuming naphthalene balls in Khajrana on Monday night. Youth named Vikas Dudhane was rushed to hospital after he consumed naphthalene balls. His family members alleged that Vikas and brother Akash were attacked by unidentified persons in Khajrana area after which police detained Vikas and his mother instead of filing their complaint, which prompted Vikas to take such a step. He is stated to be out of danger and undergoing treatment in a city hospital.
Khajrana police station incharge Preetam Singh said Vikas and Ajay are criminals. They were trying to steal a battery on Sunday night when they were caught by people and were thrashed. A case was also registered against them on the complaint of battery owner. After the case was registered against them, Vikas injured himself and got admitted in the hospital and he revealed false story to evade the arrest.
