AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will conduct practical examinations for class 12 science students from February 15 under CCTV surveillance. The board will conduct practical exams after nine years. Since 2010, only schools concerned were holding such tests.
The board has been conducting regular exams under CCTV surveillance; it will be a first for practical tests. The board has selected 377 exam centres across the state, considering the availability of the CCTV facility. There are 27 such centres in Ahmedabad, board officials said.
For conducting the tests without any hassle, the board will hold a meeting of its officials on February 8, when it might finalize the allocation of students to exam centres. The list of students and their assigned centres will be posted online. The board might send send flying squads to the centres during exams. Officials said that question papers will be dispatched from the strong room after February 8. Around 1 lakh students will take the tests this year.
