Embattled NRL star Dylan Napa has broken his silence after a series of sex tapes featuring him were leaked to social media.
The 26-year-old Canterbury Bulldogs recruit spoke for the first time since the footage went viral last month, saying he joined the club to be a role model.
Fronting the media on Wednesday, the State of Origin prop said he was most nervous to confront his family, particularly his 92-year-old grandmother.

'It wasn't the ideal start to 2019, or any year… I had some days that weren't so pleasant but luckily I had a lot of support with my family and my Bulldogs family,' Napa said in a press conference in Sydney, according to The Daily Telegraph.
'There were some tough days... some dark days.'
He says he's been fortunate to have the backing of both his 'family and Bulldogs family'.
The footage was taken as long as five years ago when Napa was a member of the Sydney Roosters.
In the two videos, Napa is filmed having intercourse with a woman and frequently grinning or gesturing to the camera.
In the first, he leans in to the woman and refers to himself as 'Big Papi'.

Napa was asked about rumours of a third video emerging, to which he said: 'Nothing would surprise me anymore.'
He faces the potential of a lengthy suspension being handed down from NRL boss Todd Greenberg, who earlier said the star needed to 'own it' and stop making 'excuses'.
'Take it as read: the first time we put the hammer down this year, it's going to be harder and bigger,' Greenberg told the Sydney Morning Herald.
'We are in a new era now. It's a reset. The commission has given me strong guidance to go harder. The deterrents aren't working.'

Greenberg went on to suggest Napa's future was anything but clear, with videos widely circulated on social media showing him having consensual sex with an unidentified women, as well as performing sex acts on himself.
'I have (seen the videos) and I was just gobsmacked about the stupidity,' he said.
'(Players need to) take some accountability. If you don't make the content, if you don't film the content, you don't put it out there, people can't send it on.'
Greenberg's mindset could see Napa suspended by the NRL - before making his debut for Canterbury in March.
He said that while he wasn't sure a suspension was 'fair' given the sex tapes were reportedly filmed five years ago, he was determined to react after seeing the damage the news had inflicted on the sport.
