AHMEDABAD: A 21-year-old woman filed a complaint at Vejalpur police station alleging that a man of about 25 molested her when he came to her house, near Jivraj Park Crossroads, to install a water purifier.
The complainant said that on Monday, a man named Prakash Pandya came to her house and asked her where she wanted the water purifier installed.
She showed him a place in a kitchen corner.
“After a while, while he was installing the purifier, he began asking me coloured questions. He asked me why I married at a young age. I told him I was happy with my husband. He then began teasing me and suddenly tried to grab me from behind. Scared, I ran out of the kitchen and called the neighbours for help,” said the complainant.
On hearing the commotion, some neighbours gathered around but Pandya ran away, leaving his two-wheeler and bag behind. The complainant found Pandya’s Aadhaar card in his bag and filed a complaint for molestion.
