International:Geneva Association appoints new secretary general

| 06 Feb 2019

The Geneva Association, the leading international think tank for the insurance industry, has announced the appointment of Mr Jad Ariss as its secretary general. Mr Ariss will assume the role on 1 March.

Prior to joining the association, he was head of public affairs and corporate responsibility for AXA Group. Before taking that role, he served as CEO of AXA Middle East & Africa, leading AXA’s operations across 14 countries.

Mr Charles Brindamour, chairman of the Geneva Association, said, “With his extensive insurance experience and knowledge of international markets and financial services, Mr Ariss is the right choice to ensure that the Geneva Association is a thought leader on global insurance trends and a strong advocate for our industry.”

The appointment comes after Ms Anna Maria D’Hulster decided last month to resign for personal reasons. Her resignation takes effect at the end of this month.
