- Female driver claims she was left 'very shaken up' following the shock incident
This is the horrifying moment a man leaps from a van before smashing a woman's windscreen with a crowbar.
The shock incident, which took place on a ring road in Leeds on March 23 last year, occurred as the woman was approaching a roundabout.
In terrifying dashcam footage from the woman's vehicle, the van can be seen pulling up in front of her car - sliding in between two other vehicles.

A man holding a crowbar emerges from the side of the van after pulling up in front of the woman's vehicle

The man swings at the woman driver's windscreen, after running up to her vehicle from the van
Then suddenly from the passenger's side, a man runs out and smashes the woman's windscreen with a crowbar.
The man attempts to get back in the van, but it is quickly driven off by another and he is left to make his way to the side of the road.
And so the woman continues to drive around the roundabout, before pulling in-front of the van at a nearby petrol station.
Describing the shock ordeal, the woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said: 'I was very shaken up by the whole affair.
'I had to stop at a petrol station for about half an hour to calm down. I really was shaking.'

The impact of the crowbar causes the windscreen to smash. The man quickly runs off to the side after causing the damage

The whole ordeal was captured on a Nextbase Dash Cam, which the company claims can provide important evidence during incidents such as his.
Richard Browning, director at Nextbase, said: 'This is a really shocking piece of footage. Unfortunately we do see that female drivers, along with young and first time drivers, are often the victims of road rage incidents.
'I can’t stress enough how important a Dash Cam can be for people in these scenarios.'
