Five-foot-long crocodile rescued from Hanumanpura
TNN | Feb 6, 2019, 09:53 ISTVADODARA: A five-foot-long crocodile was rescued near a pond in Hanumanpura village of Waghodiya taluka on Tuesday morning.
According to forest department officials, villagers of Hanumanpura were complaining about the presence of a crocodile in their water body for quite sometime. Women, who used to wash clothes on the banks of the water body, were living in fear after noticing the movement of crocodile.
“After the complaints, we had placed a cage near the waterbody. On Tuesday morning, we received a call that the crocodile had entered the cage,” a member of the team from the forest department of Vadodara told TOI.
“The crocodile was brought it to our nursery in Vadodara,” he said.
The forest department officials said that according to villagers, there is another reptile which is also present in the pond.
“Some villagers had spotted two crocodiles. Hence, we have kept the cage at the spot from where the first crocodile got caged,” he said.
