Two persons were arrested in Kancheepuram for hacking an eatery owner to death in full public view in Tondiarpet. They were identified as ‘Radio’ Viji of Tondiarpet and Ramkumar of Pulianthope.

The police said that there was previous enmity between the suspects and the eatery owner Ravi (41) of Thilagar Nagar as they refused to pay after eating at his shop on Tiruvottiyur high road. When he was riding his two-wheeler on Tiruvottiyur high road, a three-member gang surrounded him and hacked him to death. A hunt has been launched for the third suspect.
