A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death with broken beer bottles by his friends, following an altercation at Ali Nagar under Balapur police station area here on Sunday night.
Police said the murder took place around 2 a.m. on Sunday night. Husain, along with Ifthekar, Aziz and Chand Pahilwan, had alcohol till late in the night during a house party and then had an argument, following which one of his friends stabbed him with a broken bottle, said police.
One dead in accident
A 58-year-old man died after being hit by a two-wheeler near Kothagudem village crossroads under Abdullapurmet police station area here on Monday night.
The victim was identified as Devarayi Ettaiah Pentaiah. The accident occurred when Pentaiah was returning home from Kothagudem.
