Mumbai: Jet Airways had a unique visitor on Monday. When staffers entered the cockpit of a Boeing 777 aircraft, which was parked at Mumbai airport overnight, they were surprised to see an owl inside. The bird had perched itself next to the left hand seat, occupied by the commander on a flight.
Airline officials said the feathery visitor was handed over to the fire service department of the Mumbai International Airport Limited for release. Officials said it is still unclear how the bird made it to the aircraft. Recently, a mynah was discovered 12 hours into a 14-hour flight between Singapore and London. It was later rescued.
