Louis!????The researchers looked at the brain’s metabolism - or how it runs on glucose.

The brain’s metabolism slows down as it ages.

Researchers gave data from 205 women and men to a machine learning algorithm to study their age solely based on that data.

????According to the study, female brains are about three years younger than male brains of the same age, and researchers believe that could be why women stay mentally sharper for longer than men.????The study’s senior author said:????"Brain metabolism might help us understand some of the differences we see between men and women as they age."????And, the differences weren’t just found in older men and women - some of the differences were noted in people as young as their 20’s!????The senior author says It's not that men's brains age faster, but they start adulthood about three years older than women, and that persists throughout life.????So, the female brain is definitely different than the male brain - and it seems like that may be a good thing!??
