Indore: The untimely graying of hair, hair fall and baldness has become major social stigma. People have become more conscious of their appearance with the increasing trend of selfie and social media. This consciousness often leads to depression in those with hair problems.
According to cosmetologist Dr Anil Dashore, “Graying of hair in men is seen at young age as early as they are in class 10 and many of them start turning bald at the age of 25.” He said that about 70 per cent of men opting for hair fall treatment for getting a good match while 30 percent are choosing it for enhancing their career and social life.
“Similar conditions in women are seen mostly after maternity or after the age of 50 years,” Dr Dashore said. Another expert Dr Anil Garg said, “Hair fall and thin hair in women are seen due to lack of vitamin and iron. They lose lot of blood during menstrual cycle which they fail to recover by the next cycle.
They can fulfill it by cooking vegetables in iron utensils, consuming sprouts and around 40 grams of jaggery daily.” Informing about 10th Annual Conference of Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons of India, Haircon-2019, on Monday, he said, “To discuss such technical issues of hair care and transplant techniques, a three-day annual conference will be held from February 8.
This will be the first of its kind conference in Central India where experts will discuss about hair care and treatment. Dr Dashore shared that six international and 15 national faculties will attend the event and a hair drafting workshop also be held.
