Music event ‘Aanewala Pal...’ presents bouquet of genres

Nagpur: Students of Kanak Sur Mandir cast a magic spell on music lovers of the city at a concert titled ‘Aanewala Pal Janewala Hai’ at Scientific Society Hall on Tuesday. Over 20 songs were presented by amateur singers on karaoke music system.
The event was conceptualized and compèred by Datta Harkare.

Songs of all moods were presented by singers that ranged from age groups of as young as early 30s to as elder as late 50s who presented their amateurish skills to the best. Starting the evening with ‘Tumne mujhe dekha’, the programme reached a high tempo with ‘Mujhe kitna pyar hai tumse’.

Other songs that received a good response from the audience were ‘Moh moh ke dhaage’, title track of the evening ‘Aanewala pal janewala hai’ and Dev Anand’s famous ‘Phoolon ke rang se’.

Songs like ‘Ruk jaana nahin’, ‘Surmayi akhiyon mein’, ‘Ae meri zohra jabeen’, ‘Rang aur noor ki’ and ‘Musafir hoon yaaron’ kept the audience glued to their seats. Along with songs, their original videos were played in the background to give the programme a reel feel.

‘Manzilein apni jagah hain’, ‘Raah bani khud manzil’; Jagjit Singh’s ‘Tumko dekha toh yeh khayal aaya’, ‘Tum pukar lo’, ‘Dilbar mere kabtak mujhe aise hi tadpaoge’ and ‘Yeh chand sa roshan chehra’ were a few among the many that garnered a huge cheers for an encore. ‘Bekarar karke humein yun na jaiye’ marked a melodious end to the musical evening.

Deepak Ameen, Avinash Shravane, Kishor Okhade, Sanjay Kalamkar, Chandrashekhar Desai, Mahesh Chandrashekhar, Prakash Kulkarni, Chandrakant Narnavare, Prashant Jog, Sanjay Indapawar, Abhijeet Vaidya, Sachin Patrange, Gautam Sanyal, Ravi Choudhari and Nilay Bannore lent their voice to some of the super hit songs of the golden era.
