Social activist
Anna Hazare on Monday criticised the BJP government at the Centre, saying that the party had ‘used’ his
Lokpal platform in 2013 to come to power, but has now forgotten everything about it.
“The entire country knows that they (BJP) came to power due to our Lokpal and
Lokayukta agitation in Delhi’s Ramlila maidan. People stood by us and that’s how they (BJP) came to power… and now they have forgotten the issue,” said Hazare while speaking to reporters on the sixth day of his indefinite fast.
Hazare has been demanding that the Centre have a Lok Pal and has been asking for minimum MSP of 1.5 times for farmers. MNS chief Raj Thackeray visited social activist Anna Hazare on Monday and asked him to break the fast and work to “bury the BJP government” in 2019.
Maharashtra chief minister
Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that there are some people close to Hazare who are trying to ‘misguide him’.
