There was utter chaos in the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday during the the first day of the Budget session. MLAs of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) hurled paper balls at Governor Ram Naik while he was addressing the House.
Samajwadi Party MLA Subhash Pasai fainted while protesting in the assembly. He was given first aid and is being treated.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath condemned the act and said the SP-BSP legislators were acting like hooligans in the House.
"The way slogans were raised against the Governor and Samajwadi Party members threw paper balls at him is condemnable. We criticise how SP and BSP members behaved in front of the Governor,"Adityanath said.
He said, "Now you can imagine what kind of system these people want."
