City girl only Indian to feature in TED-ED video

Vadodara: A city girl was the only Indian to be featured in the video playlist of TED-ED that was recently released to celebrate the first International Day of Education.

Nivedita Chawda, a student of Nalanda International School, had video recorded her speech on ‘When I stopped competing for marks’ before participating in the two-day TED-ED event at its headquarters in New York in November last year. TED-ED, which is a student-centric extension of the popular organization TED, had made education playlist featuring videos of 18 students from across the globe.


Chawda had recorded and uploaded her video on the YouTube channel of TED-ED which was selected for its education playlist to celebrate the first International Day of Education which fell on January 24.


The United Nations General Assembly had proclaimed January 24 as the International Day of Education.
