GAIL reports 33% YoY jump in Q3 profit at Rs 1,681 crore, announces Rs 6.25 dividend

NEW DELHI: India’s largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company GAIL on Tuesday reported a 33.20 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in profit at Rs 1,681.23 crore for December quarter.

The New Delhi-based company had posted Rs 1,262.22 crore profit in the year-ago period.

Analysts in an ET Now poll had forecast a profit of Rs 1,578 crore.

Sales for the quarter jumped 33.7 per cent to Rs 19,788 crore, beating ET Now poll estimate of Rs 18,986 crore. Ebitda jumped to Rs 2,673 crore from Rs 1,970 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The board of directors declared an interim dividend of Rs 6.25 per equity share, amounting to Rs 1,409.42 crore.
