An FIR has been registered against AAP MLA Madan Lal in a police station of south Delhi for obstructing railway officials from doing their duty. The incident happened on January 29 when the officials of the Northern Railway were on an anti-encroachment drive near the railway track between Safdarjung and Lajpat Nagar. The officials alleged that the legislators came to the spot opposed the removal of illegal possession and also obstructed government work.

DCP (South) Vijay Kumar has confirmed the incident. Police said that they have filed an FIR at Police station at Kotla Mubarakpur against MLA Madan Lal. On January 25, a letter was sent by the Northern Railway to the South Delhi Police to provide them adequate police force on January 29 to remove illegal encroachemnt, on the either sides of the railway track between Safdarjung and Lajpat Nagar.

It is alleged that when the joint team of railways and police reached the spot, the locals informed the MLA. the He reached the spot and scolded the railway officials for not informing the locals in advance.

In the case, the railway made a complaint with the police against the legislature for obstructing government work. Prior to which an FIR has been lodged at the Kotla Mubarakpur police station. No one has been arrested till now.
