Chit fund scam: CBI officials went to Kolkata to quiz top cop, got detained by WB Police instead
A team of CBI officers was stopped from entering the residence of Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar here on Sunday when they had gone to question him in connection with chit fund scam cases, officials said. A virtual showdown ensued as Kolkata Police personnel forcefully took away some of the CBI officers to a nearby police station amid commotion, they said.
