Gujarat: Mother jumps in well with 4 children, one boy rescued

RAJKOT: A 30-year-old mother jumped into well with her four children in Jetalvad village of Junagadh district in Gujarat on Sunday morning. The mother and three children died while one child was rescued by the team of fire brigade and emergency service department. The reason for this extreme step was not clear but could be family dispute said police.
According to the police, Divuben Viram jumped into 70 feet deep well of farmer Bharat Bachubhai’s farm in the village which is 130 km far from Rajkot.
As the villagers came to know they informed the ambulance service, a team of ambulance and fire brigade from Junagadh rushed to the spot. They started the rescue operation and saved 8-year-old boy Raju after which he was sent to nearby hospital for treatment.
The rescue team found the dead body of Divuben Viram and her children 4-year-old daughter Jahnvi, 3-year-old daughter Hetvi and 11-month-old son Karan. The dead bodies have been sent for post mortem and police started interrogation on this case.
