Congress party shared a photo of its president Rahul Gandhi along with Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Ahmed Patel sitting in a row in a flight to Patna. Congress Instagram account said: "Team #Congress enroute #Patna for the public rally, flying the economy way".
Later Rahul Gandhi shared the same photo but with a different caption: "On our way to the Congress Rally at the Gandhi Maidan in Bihar, with our new CM’s & Party Treasurer. Tough getting all these gentlemen together on a single row, but we pulled it off!"
Social media was immediately abuzz with this photo of Congress leaders flying "economy". With elections around the corner, optics is everything. All political parties know this, hence the need to share a picture of leaders flying for a rally on social media.
We can't help but be reminded of another Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's remark of flying "economy class" in India.
The comment had, of course, got Tharoor into a lot of trouble with the critics of the Congress claiming it only shows Congress leaders elitist mentality.

The Congress has again since then tried to position itself as a party that listens to the voice of the people and attacks the BJP for being suit-boot ka sarkar.
Flying "cattle-class" brings the holy cow back in the poll position. With the BJP anyway having budgeted Rs 750 cr for the welfare of 'gau mata' in the interim budget 2019.
