Attend House this week: Congress issues whip

NEW DELHI: Ahead of a stormy week in Parliament in which the budget and the President’s speech are expected to be discussed, Congress has issued a three-line whip to its MPs to remain present in the House from Monday to Friday.
“All members of Congress party in Lok Sabha are requested to kindly remain present in the House from 11 am onwards till the adjournment of the House on 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 February, 2019, without fail and support the party stand,” a note from Congress’s chief whip Jyotiraditya Scindia said.
MPs have been asked to be present during the discussion on the interim budget presented on February 1. The budget session of Parliament, which commenced on January 31, will continue till February 13.
