Another delivery boy attacked in Mohali

Representative imageMOHALI: Another delivery boy was attacked when he had gone to deliver food to a girl at a private college in Sohana on Thursday night.
Karan Arora, a resident of Sirsa, Haryana, alleged two members of the college management assaulted him and his arm was fractured.
Karan said a girl hosteller had ordered food online.
After reaching the college, he called the girl to receive her food. When she arrived at the gate, two members of college management started assaulting him, he alleged.
“The two accused me of molesting the girl and started beating me up. I was just delivering food to her,” Arora said in the complaint.
He lodged a complaint with the Mohali police. Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Bhupinder Singh, the investigating officer, said the delivery boy’s arm was fractured in the incident.
“We have admitted him to Mohali civil hospital. We are waiting for his medical examination report. We have registered a DDR (daily diary report) at the Sohana police station against the management of the college. An FIR will be registered after receiving the victim’s medical report,” the ASI said.
More than a week ago, a 27-year-old law student allegedly fired a bullet at a manager of pizza outlet after the delivery boy delivered a cold pizza at Amerzone Heights housing society in Desu Majra village in Kharar. A case of attempt to murder was registered at Kharar Sadar police station.
