Traffic curbs on NH66 from today
tnn | Feb 2, 2019, 23:46 ISTThiruvananthapuram: Traffic will be regulated on National Highway 66 from Sunday onwards.
Vehicles going to Eanchackal from Akkulam do not have to take any deviation and proceed along the highway, through the new flyover at Venpalavattom. But, vehicles going to Pettah, Pattoor, Vanchiyoor, Statue and Thampanoor directions will be redirected at Venpalavattom. The vehicles must take the service road and proceed via Anayara. The regulations are being put in place for the smooth conduct of the ongoing works of flyovers along the stretch.
Deputy commissioner of police (law and order, city) R Aditya said that the traffic was being regulated so that the volume of traffic would be low on the road and the works were not affected. There will also be a strict ban on parking of vehicles on the stretch between Venpalavattom and Eanchakkal, the DCP said.
