Liam McDonald scored 25 points and added six rebounds and six assists as Somerset Berkley used hot shooting to defeat Old Rochester 81-61 in boys' basketball action Friday night.

The Raiders went 16-for-26 from 3-point land and held a 43-33 lead at halftime.

The win puts the Raiders in first place in the SCC's large division.

Nick Medeiros added 22 points for the winners, while Ethan Dias contributed 14.

Somerset Berkley improved to 8-5.

Brockton 70, Durfee 63: The Boxers used  a 21-0 run late in the first half to build a lead, but the Toppers fought their way before before eventually losing this Big 3 contest.

Durfee, which trailed 31-18 at the break, outscored Brockton 24-10 in the third quarter to take a 42-41 lead into the fourth quarter.

With the game tied 58-58 with three minutes left, the Boxers closed the game on a 12-5 run.

Wareham 68, Case 54: Logan Sherratt, Jordan Rodrigues and Jacob Monteiro all had 13 points for the Cardinals, who fell to 8-7.

Case held a 33-24 lead at the break, but the Vikings opened the third quarter on a 21-0 run.
