Foxconn Reconsiders Facility Usage After Trump Phone Call

After receiving a hail-mary call from President Donald Trump, Foxconn says it's planning to resume former plans to build flat-screen panels at it's new Wisconsin facility.

According to the Taiwanese company, conversations with Trump led to an about face from previous plans that would've used the Wisconsin facility solely for research and development.

President Trump tweeted about the news, saying "Great news on Foxconn in Wisconsin after my conversation with [chairman] Terry Gou!" Foxconn has said the facility will now act as both a manufacturing center as well as a hub for its technology sector.
