A complaint was lodged with the Vastrapur police station on Thursday after two customers attacked a restaurant owner and his cook for not providing them food before other customers.
The incident took place on Thursday night at the A-1 Paratha house restaurant, owned by Pankaj Patel, a resident of Gurukul area and the restaurant is located in Drive-in road area of the city.
The complaint was lodged by victim Suresh Soni, who works as a cook at the restaurant. He stated in his complaint that there was a heavy rush at their restaurant and a lot of customers were waiting for their order to be served.
Meanwhile, the two accused identified as Kuldeep and Sachin reached the restaurant and placed their order. Soon after placing the order the two rushed Suresh to serve their food. In their response, Suresh told them to wait as there are several customers waiting for their food and that they have wait for their number.
The duo pushed Suresh to make their food before other customers and when he denied doing so, the two started abusing Suresh. Looking at the chaos, the owner Pankaj intervened and told the duo to stop abusing. The duo in a fit of rage started thrashing the owner and when Suresh went to stop them, both the accused pulled out knives from their pocket and stabbed Suresh.
People started to gather around the place. In the fear of getting caught the duo managed to flee away from the spot. A complaint was lodged with the Vastrapur police station against the two accused and further investigation is in progress.
MM Jadeja, Inspector of Vastrapur police station said, "We have registered a complaint and have started investigating the matter.
We have recovered the CCTV footage from the nearby area and have identified the two accused, they will be soon nabbed."
