National defence delegation give thumbs-up to UP’s infrastructural growth

NOIDA: A 16-member delegation of representatives from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force as well as Police along with representatives from US (navy), Malaysia, Kenya (air force) and Bangladesh (army) undertook an e-tour of Uttar Pradesh under National Defence College (NDC) banner. The group culminated their tour at Gautam Budh Nagar on Friday, hailing it as the next big hub for infrastructural and economic growth with the coming up of Jewar airport.
“During our five-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, we’ve noted that the state is on an infrastructural growth path and Noida-Greater, Noida region is looking up as the next big hub of industrial and economic growth with proposed Jewar airport project,” D M Sudan, rear admiral Indian Navy told TOI.
Sudan who’s the senior directing staff of NDC and headed the delegation, visited Noida to study the smart city development model planned under Noida Authority. “Our purpose is to study the socio political growth of the region/state such as the classes, civil society, women and child development, education, health etc. and going by that, UP is on a progressive path both, at rural and urban level.
The infrastructure development of the state especially Noida and Greater Noida region has a multiplier effect especially with the Jewar airport project in the pipeline,” said Sudan who met the chief minister, governor, chief secretary and other senior officials of the UP government along with visiting different cities of state including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sarnath, Noida and more.
Garib Dass, director vigilance ministry of railways also lauded the dial 100 project as well as the women's power line-1090 initiative of the state government.
