7 youths held for planning to commit dacoity
TNN | Feb 2, 2019, 23:46 ISTCoimbatore: The city police arrested seven youths, who were planning to commit dacoity, from GV Residency area on Friday night. Police seized three knives, seven mobile phones and two motorcycles from them.
Singanallur police inspector Arjun and team rushed to the spot after residents informed them. Though the youths tried to escape, police caught all of them. They were identified as Sundar, 18, Prakash, 26, Gangadaran, 18, all hailing from Neelikonampalayam, Arunkumar, 20 of Peelamedu, Pradeepkumar, 18, Tirupathi, 19 and Sujit, 18, all hailing from Masakkalipalayam.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that some of them were facing cases for selling ganja. Arunkumar is facing a murder case and a robbery case. tnn
