Nothing makes a statement like a Bulgari Serpentine — Sonam Kapoor sports one with a diamond-studded bracelet, while watch connoisseur Shilpa Shetty has been seen at multiple events with hers.
The Italian luxury house is also a hot favourite with celebrities and businesspeople from South India. No wonder then that the brand has decided to come here for a two-day trunk show, following their first outing in Hyderabad last December.
The flagship store in DLF Emporio, New Delhi, sees several customers from Chennai, which spurred Bulgari’s decision to cater to a market that is willing to drop serious cash on statement luxury pieces.
While they will be showcasing a wide range of handbags — at least 40 to 45 different styles, we are told — jewellery and watches from their recent Tubogas, Valentine and Gelati collections, will also be on sale. Some highlights before you visit:
Serpenti Tubogas
The snake is the cult symbol of the maison, embodied in this signature piece with a black opaline snake head dial. With three different gold tones — yellow, white and rose — this bracelet watch made a splash last year at Baselworld. The interpretation offers a contemporary take on their tricolour creations from the 1960s. The outline is accentuated with 38 diamonds and the winding crown sports a cabochon-cut pink rubellite.
Gelati
The brand is known for their fine jewellery encrusted with precious stones, but this time, their focus is on the cute stuff. It will also make a smaller dent in your bank balance! Give your summer wardrobe some cool accents with mouth-watering lollipop brooches, bracelets and rings. The sweet-toothed theme features mother-of-pearl, onyx and malachite, with a cheeky diamond-set bite taken out of each jewel.
Electro Love
Show your love (or self-love) by picking up one of the richly-coloured calf-skin bags, available in bright red and electric blue. They feature a detachable pierced heart charm, and the interior mirror is customisable with a variety of symbols, letters and emojis. Add on the mini wallet and credit card holder for a three-piece set.
