As one of Europe's great major cities, there is no shortage of things to do and see in Madrid.
From taking the time to walk the streets, appreciating the city's cultural and artistic heritage, enjoying it for its epicurean offerings as the culinary capital of Spain or just doing the nocturnal thing and partying the night away with the locals there is much to be seen and done.

The top sights of Madrid are relatively well-known with places like Museo del Prado, El Rastro market and El Retiro park which is all good and well but sometimes we travellers want to see things that will make us feel like we've had a unique experience with stories that not many people can tell.
