HYDERABAD: A massive fire broke out at a G+2 residential building in Shathamrai Village of Shamshabad mandal on Friday.
According to a fire department official, air coolers and their spare parts were illegally stored in the building.
"We received a call at around 5.40pm. The building is located at an isolated area and because of that, the fire did not spread," said a fire department official.
The people residing in the building noticed the smoke and evacuated the building immediately. As many as four fire tenders from Rajendranagar, Madhapur and Langarhouse were pressed into service to douse the flames.
The official suspect a short circuit must have triggered the blaze and it spread rapidly after the plastic materials and electronic items stored in the building caught fire.
