Two woman and a man are sprayed in the face with an unknown chemical while drinking at trendy inner city pub – as the culprit remains on the run

A man is still on the run after spraying an unknown chemical at a group of people during a night out in Sydney.
Police were told the man was arguing with another man and two women outside a venue on Oxford Street, Surry Hills at 1.30am on Friday.
The argument escalated before the man sprayed all three people in the face and fled the scene.

Earlier in the morning, the same man had been arguing with a different group of people outside a venue near the intersection of Oxford and Crown streets, Darlinghurst.
At the time, he threatened the group with a can thought to contain a chemical.
The man and two women who were sprayed in the face suffered irritation in the eyes, but did not require treatment.
Surry Hills Police Area Command were told a bystander confronted the runaway man and took the spray away from him.
They handed the can to security and officers collected the spray that is thought to be a form of OC spray.
Police describe the man to be white, of slim to medium build, with spiked red hair and shaved sides.
He was last seen running west along Oxford Street towards Crown Street, Surry Hills.
