Nepal overcame early batting collapse to beat United Arab Emirates (UAE) by four wickets in the second T20I on Friday to level the 3-match series 1-1.

Nepal bowlers did the damage as they bundled out UAE for just 107 in 19.2 overs. Chundangapoyil Rizwan (44) was the only batsman able to resist the Nepalese attack. Avinash Bohara took 3 wickets while Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took two wickets each.

Nepal were in trouble early losing captain Paras Khadka on the second ball of the chase. When Karan KC (20) departed with Nepal at 39/4 and Sundeep Jora followed at 46/5, it looked like Nepal were heading for another defeat.

However, Dipendra Singh Airee and Pawan Sharraf took charge of the chase taking the team home. Nepal needed seven runs off the last over. Sharraf (18) departed on the very first ball but Dipendra Singh Airee hit six and four off the next two balls to win the match for his side. He remained not out on 47.
