E-market for dairy commodities launched
TNN | Feb 2, 2019, 04:07 ISTVadodara/ Anand: Chairman of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Dilip Rath has launched e-market mobile application of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited (NCDFI).
NCDFI is an apex body of dairy cooperatives with the objective to promote, coordinate, develop and facilitate the working of the dairy industry.
NCDFI had initiated the e-portal ‘NCDFI e-market’ for trading of dairy commodities. The online marketplace deals with bulk buying and selling of various products required by dairy cooperatives throughout the country.
The e-market mobile application was launched at Dr Kurien auditorium on Thursday in presence of NCDFI chairman Mangal Jit Rai, chairman of Chhattisgarh State Dairy Federation Limited Rasik Parmar and representatives from other dairy cooperatives.
“In line with Government of India’s Digital India dream, NCDFI has created this android-based e-market application to ensure transparent dealings,” Rath said.
Presently, products traded through the portal are dairy commodities, cattle feed ingredients, packaging materials, edible oils and sugar among others.
The annual turnover of products traded is around Rs 1,000 crore in value.
