Interim Budget is positive and appreciable: Nitish Kumar

PATNA: Terming the interim budget as “positive and appreciable” Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Friday said the decision to transfer Rs 6,000 per annum in the bank account of farmers is an appreciable step and it would strengthen rural economy.
He also lauded the Centre’s decision to provide assured monthly pension of Rs 3,000 per month for workers in unorganised sector.
“The raise in upper limit of the taxable income from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh is a more appreciable step and it will provide relief to middle class,” Nitish, who is also the JD(U) chief, said here.
