2 bikers killed in separate accidents

Anu (27) of Vadakkevila House, S N Nagar, Kulathoor near Kazhakkoottam and Praveen (38) of Ayilyam House, Kunnuvila, Choozhatukotta near Vilavoorkal are the deceased.
Anu met with the accident at Kazhakkoottam. According to the police, the accident occurred around 12.30am on Friday. He was riding a motorcycle along with a friend on pillion seat. Anu is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle following which it crashed into the median on NH 66 near Kazhakkoottam Junction. Though they were rushed to hospital, Anu’s life could not be saved. His friend Sajeev is under treatment at KIMS Hospital, Venpalavattom.
Anu was a welder. The accident reportedly occurred hours after he celebrated his son Atharv’s second birthday on Thursday.
The second accident took place at Pamacode near Malayinkeezhu. Praveen of Kunnuvila was killed after his two-wheeler collided head on with a water tanker that was going in the opposite direction around 7.30am. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to injuries within 30 minutes.
Praveen was a former soldier of Indian Army. He took voluntary retirement and was working as a staff at NCC office in Peroorkada. He leaves behind wife Jithamol and children, Abhinav, Akshit and Akshita.
