Ludhiana, February 1, 2019: Under the Mission Tandrust Punjab of the Punjab government, a one day seminar on educating the shopkeepers about keeping the fish market clean and for marketing their produce, was organised at Government Fish Market, Tajpur Road, here. This seminar was organised by the Punjab Fisheries Development Board in collaboration with National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad.
On this occasion, a cleanliness drive for fish market and its surrounding areas was also carried out. The seminar was attended by more than 150 fish sellers/shopkeepers, who were educated about ways in which they can keep the market clean and ensuring that their produce also remains clean. Miss Armandeep Kaur from ATMA was the resource person on the occasion, who addressed the gathering.
On this occasion, cleaning kits were also distributed to the fish sellers/shopkeepers. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Kanwaljeet Singh Sidhu, Director, Fishcofed, Mr Vinod Kumar, Secretary, Market Committee, Ludhiana, Mr Rampal Dhigan, Mr Jang Bahadur, Mr Jasvir Singh, Mr Mohit, Mr Paramjit Singh and Mr Ram Chander, besides several others.
