On the sacred morning of 31st Jan ‘19, St. Montfort School, Patel Nagar, Bhopal celebrated Founder’s day in its premises. Founder’s day is traditionally a very important day in the school Calendar, when members of the school community, Principal Rev. Brother Monachan, Vice Principal Rev Brother John, Sisters, Coordinators, teaching and non-teaching staff along with the students, come together commemorate those who founded the school and who have bequeathed resources to its development.
The day was celebrated with fervor, zest and enthusiasm in the school. Programme began with garlanding the statue of the great founder St. Louis Marie De Montfort, by Principal Rev. Brother Monachan, Vice Principal Brother John and floral offerings were given by sisters and coordinators, which continued with prayer dance, through which the works of St. Montfort was exhibited, followed by a dance drama which gave the message to serve the society.
A Sarv-Dharm prayer service was also organized in which students presented the song in various languages showing unity in diversity.Students also took pledge to keep up the mission of spreading knowledge and serving the society and nation, through their words, thoughts and actions by walking on the path shown by their founder.
Principal Rev. Brother Monachan spoke about the importance of being a good human being, irrespective of religion or community as every religion propagates humanity.
Programme concluded apt to the occasion by singing school anthem dedicated to the founder. Founder’s day at St. Montfort is also known as Helper’s Day. In the afternoon session all the helping staff i.e. the bus drivers, conductors and cleaners were felicitated with a token of gratitude, thanking for their service for the esteemed institution.
The day concluded with a cultural evening comprising of prayer and family gatherings, friends, well wishers and benefactors of the Montfortian family, at Bhopal.
